Installation (Windows)

  1. Download and Install R. On 64 bit versions of Windows choose to install the 32 bit R. Otherwise some R packages might not work.
  2. Download and Install GTK+. Make sure R is not running when installing GTK+.
  3. Start R and paste the following code into the R console to install the R packages that metaXCMS depends on
  4. Download metaXCMS (metaXCMS_0.1.19.zip).
  5. Install metaXCMS using the R menu ("Install package(s) from local zip files"). Select the previously downloaded metaXCMS .zip file.
  6. Run metaXCMS

Installation (Mac)

  1. Download and Install R.
  2. Start R and paste the following code into the R console to install the R packages that metaXCMS depends on
  3. Open 'Package Manager' under 'Packages & Data' Menu. if 'cairoDevice' checkbox is unselected, select it to be loaded (it may take few seconds to few minutes to load the package), and it will prompt you to install GTK+. Install the package. Please check whether other packages("Rgtk2","gstat","RANN", and etc) are selected as well.
  4. Download the source package (metaXCMS_0.1.19.tar.gz)
  5. Install metaXCMS using the R menu 'Package Installer' under 'Packages & Data'. Select 'Local Source Package' From Packages Repository, and For Install Location, select 'At System Level (in R framework)' and click 'Install'. Select the previously downloaded metaXCMS_0.1.19.tar.gz file.
  6. Run metaXCMS

Installation (Unix)

  1. Download and Install R.
  2. Download the source package (metaXCMS_0.1.19.tar.gz)
  3. Install metaXCMS from the command line
